People in TOKYO may be gearing up for the famous sakura cherry blossom viewing season, but another flower-related spectacle is about to hit the city’s streets.
TOKYO Infiorata Week 2017 begins this Saturday, 18 March, and runs until Wednesday 12 April. Inspired by an Italian tradition, a series of events will take place around the city where flower petals will be arranged in beautiful pictures and patterns.
The exhibits are designed to welcome visitors from around the world to TOKYO, and to serve as a manifestation of the city’s hospitality.
