PATA Annual Summit 2016

The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) take great pleasure in inviting you to attend the PATA Annual Summit 2016 as a media delegate. The event takes place at the Dusit Thani Guam Resort on May 18-21 in Guam, USA.

The Annual Summit is a well established event in the international tourism industry calendar. In addition to the one-day conference, the programme for the PATA Annual Summit 2016 also includes a half-day PATA/UNWTO Ministerial Debate on Pacific Island Tourism on Saturday, May 21 as well as the traditional fund-raising charity dinner for the PATA Foundation, the presentation of several important PATA awards and the Association’s 65th anniversary celebrations.

The conference theme this year is ‘Exploring the Secrets of the Blue Continent’, examining a broad range of issues, challenges and opportunities that face travel and tourism industry leaders throughout the Asia Pacific region. There is a very impressive roster of guest speakers confirmed for the one-day conference on May 19, including Alain St.Ange, Minister, Ministry of Tourism & Culture Seychelles; Andrew Dixon, Owner, Nikoi and Cempedak Islands; Daniel Levine, Director, The Avant-Guide Institute; David Topolewski, CEO, Qooco; Derek Toh, Founder and CEO, WOBB.CO; Eric Ricaurte, Founder and CEO, Greenview; Jason Lin, Chief of Talent, TalentBasket; Mark Schwab, CEO, Star Alliance; Michael Lujan Bevacqua, Author and Lecturer, University of Guam; Morris Sim, CEO & Co-founder, Circos Brand Karma; Ronan Carey, COO, Red Robot Limited; and Zoltán Somogyi, Executive Director for Programme and Coordination, World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).

Guam is an unincorporated island territory of the United States in the western Pacific Ocean. It’s an island that boasts wonderful sandy beaches, blues skies and impressive sunsets.
