The Jerusalem International Book Fair will take place again at the First Station, Jerusalem on June 11-15, 2017, alongside the Hebrew Book Week (of the Israeli Publishers Association). Visitors to the fair can participate in a unique cultural and literary experience at the fair’s venue, the Jerusalem First Station, and in its surroundings: meetings with authors, book displays, readings, activities for children and for the family. Events are free of charge and open to the general public. The International Book Fair Exhibition Hall is one of the main attractions of the fair. The display hosts about 250 publishers from Israel and abroad, presenting local and international contemporary books.
The Jerusalem International Book Fair is a biennial event that has taken place since 1963. It is a substantial meeting ground between literature and publishing communities both Israeli and international. Each JIBF brings to Jerusalem hundreds of publishers, editors, agents and scouts and presents the Israeli literary scene to them, while at the same time—exposing international literature to its attendants.
